Eva Trinczek was born in Poland and grew up in Germany. She immigrated to Canada more than 20 years ago. Eva spent the first six years in Oakville Ontario where she met her husband. They moved to Vancouver Island in 1990 with their three children and have been living in the Cowichan Valley ever since. Eva, mostly self-taught, has always had a natural love for art and artisan products.

Much of her creativity was inspired growing up in a modest home where many things were hand-crafted. In 2003 after raising and home schooling her three children, Eva decided to actively produce and market her art. Starting with small watercolour paintings she soon experimented with larger canvases and with different mediums, like pastels, acrylics and oils. For Eva inspiration is everywhere, most of all in nature. Eva’s acrylics, soft pastels and rich oil paintings, art cards, banners, floor cloths, hand-painted aprons and bags, painted mailboxes, jewellery and more can be found at Imagine That Artisans’ Designs in Duncan, BC as well as at Oakleaf Gallery and the Dancing Bean Café, both in Chemainus. Her studio is open on occasion or by appointment. For more information or special orders please email me at eva.trinczek@shaw.ca
